Aluminum Floor Mats, Foot Grilles and Roll-up Floor Mats

Aluminum Foot Grilles and Roll-up Floor Mats are some of the most durable floor mats available.  These types of systems are all custom floor mats.  Architects will often specify Aluminum Floor Mats because of their "hi-tech" look.  The aluminum portion of these floor mats is offered in different colors through an anodizing process.  When aluminum floor mats are installed that possess a color other than the standard aluminum mill finish color, a "scratching wear pattern" will usually occur caused by normal foot traffic.  This "scratching" effect is much less noticeable when the aluminum floor mats are a standard mill finish.  An additional benefit to electing a mill finish is that the aluminum floor mat will be less expensive as well.

Anti Fatigue Mats

Anti fatigue mats are much more than just rubber floor mats.  By definition "anti fatigue mats" should possess features that help to provide anti fatigue relief from the effects of prolonged standing.  There has been much discussion about which features to seek when choosing anti fatigue mats to provide the utmost in comfort. Many of our anti fatigue mats are also resistant to grease, oils, static electricity, welding sparks or are designed for specific work environments.

Exercise Flooring and Rubber Mats

When considering which type of exercise flooring will best suit your particular requirements, it is imperative to consider "How will the rubber floor mat be used?"  Our rubber floor mats are well suited to all of these applications:

  • Free Weight Drop Zone Areas - Bully Rubber Mats
  • Fitness Equipment areas - Rolled rubber matting
  • Aerobic Flooring - SF Floor Mats
  • Locker Room Flooring - Safety Matting, Rubber matting
  • Home Gyms - Bully Rubber Mats, Rolled Rubber matting

Factors to consider are durability of the exercise flooring, ease of maintenance, installation and the overall functionality of the floor mats.

Floor Mats for use as Entrance Mats

The appropriate type and length of  entrance mats can stop over 75% of the dirts and moisture from getting tracked throughout your building. It is recommended that 18 lineal feet of walk off floor mats be used for optimal performance.

Choosing the Right Floor Mats Just Makes Good Financial Sense -  It cost about $500 in labor and materials to remove 1 lb of dirt once it gets tracked into your building.  Entrance mats trap dirt and keep your entrances safe.  The average slip and fall injury caused by substandard entrance mats often result in over $15,000 of legal and medical claims.  Using appropriate entrance mats is crucial for optimal safety.  Custom rubber mats in custom sizes and configurations can add to your entrance area while simultaneously enhancing safety and maintenance efforts.  Improperly sized floor mats are a waste of money, offer a false sense of security from slip and falls, and will not provide effective cleaning action.  Choosing the right entrance mats means choosing the correct "size" and "type" of floor mats.  Whether your requirements are for a small floor mat or for hundreds of entrance mats, we can assist you in selecting which type of entrance mats will accomplish your specific objectives.

Logo Mats

Logo mats make a great first impression.  Logo mats are always custom floor mats.  Logo mats not only look great, but logo mats can also help to maintain that "Class A" appearance that helps to keep occupancy and lease rates up and "Slip and Falls" down.  The designing of custom logo mats for a building or business can be a fun and creative undertaking.  Whether the logo mats simply have a building's name or address, or some custom design, logo mats accentuate the architectural lines within a lobby.  Logo mats can really make a statement.

Interlocking Mats

Interlocking Mats and Tiles, Rubber mats or PVC Runners are often used as safety matting for Showers and Wet Areas.

Providing a safe standing and walking surface while allowing for the free flow of air for drying is of paramount importance when seeking the best floor safety matting for showers and wet areas.

Floor mats used in wet areas should be mildew resistant, easy to maintain and soft on bare feet.

Applications:  Pool Areas - Spas - Showers - Changing Area Mats - Decks - Boats/ Dock Areas - Sauna / Hot Tub Areas

Kitchen Mats

Kitchen mats should be rubber floor mats designed to allow for appropriate drainage, provide a safe standing surface and should be able to withstand the effects of harsh cleaning chemicals and animal fats, greases and oils.  Rubber floor mats rather than mats made from a vinyl make for the best kitchen mats.

A few other issues that should be addressed when considering Kitchen Mats are:  Thickness, weight, will any wheeled carts be rolling over them, Grease PROOF vs. Grease RESISTANT, etc.

Play Mats

When choosing which floor mats will be best for kids, factors like functionality and ease of maintenance should be taken into consideration.  Play mats are designed to be comfortable to crawl around on, have lots of vibrant colors available to stimulate the young minds and perhaps have shapes, letters of the alphabet, maps of the world, or games that stimulate play activities.  Play mats should also be interesting from a tactile perspective to encourage young minds to touch, take apart and re-assemble interlocking floor mats and tiles to create different patterns and designs. Stimulation is the primary function of most play mats.

Play mats should ideally be made from a closed cell sponge construction.  This will make the play mats easier to clean (i.e., wipe up spills, etc.)  Play mats are generally very resistant to staining, have a spongy feel to them which is easy on the knees and hands.  Play mats can also serve as exercise floor mats for aerobics and stretching types of exercise.

Switchboard Mats - Safety Matting

Non-Conductive, Static Dissipative Floor Mats and Conductive Mats

There is often confusion between the terms Non-Conductive floor mats, Conductive floor mats, Static Dissipative floor mats (ESD).

Non-Conductive floor mats, usually called Switchboard safety matting, is designed to insulate and protect people from the deadly shocks generated by high voltage equipment.  Non-Conductive floor mats will not allow the electricity to shock the worker thus protecting the person from serious injury.

Conductive floor mats and Static Dissipative floor mats are designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment by drawing the static electricity that people generate before they touch flammable chemicals or equipment that could become damaged by static electricity.  Conductive floor mats will disperse the static electricity more quickly than Static Dissipative floor mats.   Conductive floor mats should be used around the most sensitive equipment.
