Product Description

The Mad Matter, Inc. SandTrap Floor Mats and modules are manufactured in a proprietary non-woven needlepunch, from blended 100% heavy denier polypropylene, in a UV light-fade and chemical-resistant finish.  Backing to be proprietary dimensionally stable, water-permeable, smooth texture composite rubber.

Maintenance

The fibers act as a soil trap and quickly strip mud and dust from shoes.  After soil is dry, the fibers will release the dirt and it can be vacuumed off with a powerful industrial vacuum cleaner with beater or brush action.  The product may be cleaned with any commercially accepted carpet cleaning method, just as steam cleaning, wet cleaning, even hosing down.

Installation

Installation shall be over dry, clean, firm smooth, even surfaces, free of cracks, foreign substances, oil or loose paint.  Rolls or tile may be loose laid with leading edges secured by double faced tape, except in installations subject to extra heavy commercial traffic, golf spikes, ice skates or automobile showrooms, in which the product must be glued down with approved latex adhesive.

Warranty

Limited 5-year warranty.  Material will not wear through to the point where the backing shows through.  Failure is due to a loss greater than 15% of pile thickness in any one area.  Three-year face fiber warranty that will not disintegrate in outdoor glue-down installations.  Spike warranty 3-years, except in pivot area where it is 1 year.  One-year sunbelt fade warranty for outdoor installations.  All warranties are provided commercial glue-down outdoor installations made with an approved adhesive over firm, flat, clean, smooth, hard surfaces(free of cracks and foreign substances), of wood, concrete, vinyl or terrazzo.  No warranty is extended for the use of the product on stairs or installations of original material.
